Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny, quiet town. A lot of people who aren't aware of about the place mistakenly think that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually it is it is the West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. The West Island is frequently referred to as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that is true, her stay there was not long. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa, Ontario. In her early years she wanted to be professional performer, however an unexpected growth spurt made it impossible. In an article from The Toronto Star she admitted In heels, I'm 6'1 inch. The teacher she had at high school was what pushed her in the right direction. It was the teacher who recommended she take on a part in the school's annual production. She auditioned and was cast as Anne of Green Gables. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years, the roles played by Brugel on TV and the big screen have been numerous. Her role as Rita from the award-winning show The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel played the role of Rita in The Handmaid's Tale which was filming over 10 years ago.
